Mastery

While talking to users we noticed something – students wouldn’t reference our products by name (NCLEX-RN Mastery, Dental Boards Mastery), they would call it the “Mastery App.” We decided to lean into this but with a name change, albeit slight, there was a sense that our UI wasn’t aligning. Thus, we set about updating highly-viewed areas within our apps.

The old home page was very long and featured many competing elements.

The new home page reduced the number of options and created a clear hierarchy for user-actions.

Categories were removed from horizontal scrolling cards and given their own page. Study questions are the #1 most used feature. Our goal was to align with our user needs, rather than hinder them.

Our user progress page was also updated to fit with our user’s actions by putting emphasis on the most desired information, while giving them the ability to dive deeper when they want to.
